Jason Nox was a normal college student in his first year at the University of Washington until he and several other humans fell victim to a Vampire terrorist attack. His life is altered permanently when he is suddenly thrown into the dangerous and ruthless vampire politics of Seattle as well as the never-ending war between Vampires and Humans. Tensions between the factions against the higher-vampire-order in Seattle are at an all-time high, and this unsanctioned and outlawed attack throws the status quo into chaos. An inquest is called in order to get to the bottom of the mystery, and Jason the star witness… whether he likes it or not. As a new Vampire, Jason is what the Vampire society calls a Thinblood. He must learn to control his vampiric cravings and master his discipline, a power that only some vampires have. There are few rules in the vampire society of Seattle, but the most important one is you don’t break The Masquerade. To ensure their survival, Vampires must keep their world's existence a secret and separate to humans - and they is sure to deal with any breach.
